A core component of this pathway is the FCTM Mount Maunganui Skills Hub, based on the Links Ave artificial turf. These programmes are designed as an extension of team training during the winter and a vital way to keep developing in the off-season. You do not need to be a member of Tauranga City AFC to participate, making it accessible to the entire football community. For players aged 4–8, the focus is on fun, engaging games that build fundamentals like ball control, passing, and 1v1 skills. For the 9–13 age group, the curriculum shifts toward individual technique and decision-making, providing a seamless transition into FCTM Pre-Academy and Academy teams.

Complementing our technical hubs, we are also a proud provider of the NZF Fantails programme. Specifically designed for girls aged 5–12, Fantails offers a safe, pressure-free environment to make friends and develop skills, whether they are brand new to the sport or looking for extra time on the ball.

For those with professional aspirations, our Academy is built on the foundations of the NZF Talent Development Programme. Through our Youth Development partnership with Auckland FC, we offer a direct link to elite pathways, ensuring the most ambitious players in the Bay have the tools and opportunities to reach the top.
