At Tauranga City AFC (TCAFC), we strive to keep football accessible. While the average cost to the club per player each season is $350 for Junior/Youth and $600 for Community Seniors and $900 for National League, our membership fees are kept lower thanks to the support of our volunteers, sponsors, and grant funding.
Membership fees contribute to our essential operational costs, including clubrooms, field maintenance and some paid staff. It is important to note that 50% of your fees are immediately payable to our governing bodies, WaiBOP Football and New Zealand Football (NZF).
In 2027, our operational costs will increase agai due to a 15% rise in governing body fees and higher facility and ground charges from the Tauranga City Council (260% increase). We continue to work hard to absorb as many of these costs as possible to keep football an affordable seasonal sport.
